Chicago Investment Group
  About Us

Trading – Similar to other broker dealers, CIG executes trades for its own account. Trading is not related to the Company’s investment banking or brokerage business. CIG utilizes a disciplined equity investment approach to trade for its own account. Most of CIG’s proprietary trading is focused on buying and selling preferred securities of public companies.

Brokerage, Advisory and Investment Services – CIG provides a broad range of investment vehicles that compare favorably with the Company’s largest competitors. The range of products include: retirement accounts, mutual funds, corporate and government bonds, and access to primary U.S. exchanges for execution of equity and option transactions. As a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), CIG also earns revenue by offering fee-based wealth management services. Today, most revenue is generated through the purchase and sale of common stock.

Investment Banking Services - What differentiates CIG from other mid-market brokerage firm is investment opportunities for accredited investors as provided through the Company’s investment banking services. In addition to traditional investment vehicles, CIG counsels affluent individuals as well as institutions on investments in both privately held emerging small and middle market companies, as well as publicly traded companies in need of additional financing. Most of the Company’s current projects are private placements and PIPE transactions. CIG is compensated for its investment banking services by fees, as a percentage of funds raised and often with minimums or retainers, and CIG often receives warrants or common shares for its services as well.
